Dragonfly Tavern may be a recent addition to the Park Avenue bar scene, but its chic decor and creative specials fit in perfectly with the eclectic neighborhood.

The place: Modern lighting, tables and chairs, along with beautiful log cabin-style walls decorated with antlers, give it an urban lodge feel. But this summer, Dragonfly, which opened in January in the former Park Bench location (after extensive renovations), will spread its wings by adding a dining room and deck.

According to bartender Mary Garvey, 29, of Rochester, the addition should be complete in June, and the menu for the new restaurant will feature wood-fired pizzas and fresh sandwiches. Dragonfly hosts "Make Your Own Bloody Mary" Sundays, starting at noon. For $5, patrons get vodka on ice, then can hit up a condiment bar, filled with a variety of spicy goodies, and create their own Bloody Marys.

Sunday, bloody Sunday:

Coming attractions: As the warm weather rolls in, Dragonfly will take advantage. Garvey says the bar plans to set up a live-music stage for the Park Avenue Festival. Dragonfly also plans to host outdoor Sunday barbecues. The bar doesn't have a Web site yet, but information about events can be found on Facebook (search for "Dragonfly Tavern").
