Tucked away in a suburban shopping center in Greece is an Irish pub whose local roots run deep.
The place
Located across from the Latta Road Wegmans, Paddy's Irish Pub might look like a chain bar from the outside, but inside its hometown origins are proudly displayed in photographs, memorabilia and other artifacts. Paddy's stays connected to Greece by doing things like sponsoring local kickball and softball leagues.
The pub has a large wooden bar and a dining area with booth and table seating. The deep booths in back are outfitted with TVs for a more intimate sports-viewing experience. In total, nine high-definition flat-screens line the walls of the establishment, perfect for catching any of Sunday's NFL games.
The menu
It features Irish-pub cuisine — and a nod to Rochester: The Paddy Plate, a take on the Garbage Plate, is served daily until midnight and will run you $8.99.
Now open
Beginning Sunday, Sept. 13, Paddy's will open at 11:30 a.m. for lots of football fun. Along with the NFL Ticket television package, the pub has a special Sunday menu with beer and wing specials designed for pigskin fanatics.
