The Stoneyard Bar & Grill in the village of Brockport has quickly earned a name for itself as a college football hot spot.

The place
The Stoneyard is a two-level establishment, with a tap room downstairs and a more formal dining room upstairs. The downstairs bar, which has a few tables, is cozy, but there's plenty of room for sports fans to catch must-see games on TV. The Stoneyard's specialty? Penn State football on Saturdays.

The crowd
Last year one of the Stoneyard's owners, Jay Nichols of Webster, called up John DiTullio's sports radio show on WHTK-AM (1280) to dish about the Nittany Lions. DiTullio, a proud PSU alumnus, struck up a relationship with Nichols and the two created a home for PSU fans around the area to congregate and cheer on their beloved Lions.

"There's Notre Dame bars or Michigan bars, but there wasn't any place like this," says bartender Britton Kolb, 32, of Rochester, adding that "each Saturday it gets busier and busier."

In addition to tuning into PSU football games, the Stoneyard features specials on Pennsylvania beers (Rolling Rock and Yuengling) on Saturdays.

The food
A full menu — featuring wraps, Reubens, burgers and wings, all for around $8 — is served from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. daily. Try the house wing sauce, a yummy blend of sweet and spicy. There's also a dinner menu, which is served from 4 until 9 p.m. Selections include steak, seafood and Italian dishes, and prices range from $11 to $14.

Bring the noise
The Stoneyard welcomes aspiring vocalists every Wednesday for open-mic night, when Rolling Rock pitchers are $6.
