A neighborhood bar with lots of specials keeps TC Hooligans rocking no matter what animal — bull or bear — the economy resembles. The proof that the place is doing something right: It's expanding. The first location has been in business at the Mall at Greece Ridge Center for about 10 years. About three years ago, a second location opened in Webster, and recently another one opened at Park Point at Rochester Institute of Technology in Henrietta. (That location is called TC Riley's.)

The place: I visited TC Hooligans in Greece to catch some post-season football, and, though the place was packed, seeing the game was not a problem. The bar area has 30 TVs, and the restaurant has full-wall projection.

The crowd: During the daytime, especially on the weekends, TC Hooligans is full of shoppers. At night, the location lends itself to a local clientele.

"And the nice thing about having the new locations is that more and more people are becoming familiar with the name," says manager Kevin Burns, 23, of Greece. "If you want to watch a game, you can go to TC Hooligans. If you want a nicer dinner, you can go to TC Riley's."

Burns says the menu offers the kind of variety that surprises even regulars. . "On my visit, my friends and I shared an appetizer sampler ($12.99), French dip ($8.99) and Buffalo chicken wing pizza ($9.50).

Specials: A happy hour featuring $2.50 domestic drafts and well drinks and $3.50 imports runs until 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. And each night of the week features its own special. Starting at 9 p.m. Tuesdays, for instance, there are $3 margaritas and cosmos for the ladies. On Wednesdays, all drafts, pints, talls and pitchers of beer are half off.
