The Rochester Harbor and Carousel Festival starts Friday evening and runs through Sunday at Ontario Beach Park. Highlights include free tours of the tall ship TS Playfair from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; the Boat Parade of Lights at 9 p.m. Friday; fireworks at 10 p.m. Saturday; concerts on two stages; a classic car show; and other carnival attractions.
Because of heavy traffic expected for fireworks, access to the Charlotte area will be restricted to residents after 6 p.m. Saturday until the fireworks are over.
Free shuttle buses will be provided from Greece Arcadia High School, 120 Island Cottage Road (at the intersection of Interstate 390 and Latta Road).
There also will be boating restrictions during the event. Monitor Marine Channel 6 for information. Admission to the festival is free, but rides cost money.
