Roseland Waterpark
Address: 250 Eastern Blvd., Canandaigua
Description: When temperatures soar in Rochester this summer, grab your swimsuit, hit the road and head to Roseland Waterpark in Canandaigua for a day that "won't leave you exhausted," says Drew Broderick, director of sales and marketing at Roseland. With 56 acres of all things water — from daring slides to lazy raft rivers — this place is certain to keep you cool. Plus, all water in the park is heated to a comfortable 75 degrees. Even your neighbor's pool can't beat that.
What’s New? This season Roseland will be hosting more than 50 special events including wild animal displays, cartoon artists, a "dunk the lifeguard" tank, and a NASCAR display with a Pitt Stop Simulation activity.
What’s Old? According to Broderick, "Our giant wave pool is our most popular water attraction. Everyone – young and old — really enjoys the waves and the excitement." The giant wave pool is 27,000-square feet and rushes half a million gallons of splashing 5-foot waves.
What’s thrilling? Try speeding down Roseland's tubeless water slides – the Cliff (this slide is nearly fully-vertical) and the Twister at 30 mph from 65 feet high.
What’s good? The Roseland Café offers goodies for every appetite with hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken, pizza, nachos, fries and ice cream.
