Starry Nites Cafe is a classy, yet funky, European Bistro located in the historic Flatiron Building on ARTWalk in the Neighborhood of the Arts. An alternative to the bar scene, offering espresso-based coffees and teas with pastries and desserts, or wine and beer with appetizers, with lite menus for lunch and evening.
The atmosphere is appropriate for the Neighborhood of the Arts/Village Gate area, and depending on when you're in there, it shifts from trendy to more esoteric. This is definitely not the fast-paced Alexander Street crowd (at least when they feel like being "on"). The building dates back to 1888. Originally, a boarding house with a grand ballroom, it was once slated to be demolished. Having dodged that fate, a renovation now has lofts and apartments as well as the street-level retail.
Starry Nites has a WiFi connections and a monthly calendar or events.
