Anchor Bar
In 1964, Buffalo's Anchor Bar became famous for creating one of the world's favorite meals. Teressa Bellissimo served a group of hungry late-night patrons scrap portions of chicken (wings) that had been deep fried and flavored with a secret sauce. The dish was a hit and the chicken wing craze spread across the world. Now, a version of the original bar is located in Rochester. In addition to chicken wings, restaurant quality American and Italian dishes are available, too. The choices include pizza, pasta, ribs, seafood, steak, pork chops, chicken and veal parmigiana. The siganature wing sauce is available for purchase. The venue's interior has two fireplaces, a private party area and 32 plasma televisions.
